Success Stories

Meet some of the students whose lives have been transformed at our school thanks to your support. these powerful transformations highlight what's possible when hope meets opportunities.

Meet Jeff and Djervensky

Jeff and Djervensky are two brothers who lived with their grandmother in Canaan, one of Port-au-Prince's most dangerous and gang-controlled cities. They fled Canaan to live a peaceful life in the wake of gang attacks.

After their grandmother moved with them to our community, she was worried about how their grandsons would continue to be educated, for lack of means. She heard about our school and came to see us to explain the situation. The children were accepted into our school and given free uniforms, as well as a free education.

Thanks to your generosity, Jeff and Djervensky have found hope, a smile and a future.

You make the difference!

Carlens' story.

Carlens' mother died when he was very young, and she has lived with his grandmother ever since. He's a smiling boy, who works hard despite the difficulties he encounters. He loves our school!

Thanks to your generosity, Carlens had the opportunity to be educated freely and move forward to his dream. Your prayers and support make a vital difference!

Meet Fernandez

Fernandez was a restavek boy who has spent many years without going to school. The word "restavek", in Creole, means "to stay with". It is, however, a word that means "slave".

Fernandez became a restavek after his mother died and he lived with a woman who made him an indentured slave. He never ate as much as the other children in the woman's house. He ate what was left, worked in the fields in the heat of the day with older men, and ate nothing. She never sent Fernandez to school, so he almost lost his "childhood".

Thank God! We took Fernandez in and gave him the opportunity to be educated freely in our school, thanks to your generosity!

Fernandez feels hope, happy again and move forward to his dream

When we met Johnley last year, he didn’t have any opportunity to attend school due to lack of funds. Her mom was crying and desperated however God has a plan for him through our school for the illiteracy children.

John was accepted into our school, her mom was excited to hear this news unfortunately his mom would die afterwards. He became parentless and a restavek!

Johnley receives a proper education through our school thanks to your generous contribution.
